Networking
Getting together with others who share similar workplace experiences is always a good thing. This year, the 2008 Conference provided ample time to network with over 500 other attendees--your peers. You discussed project ideas and business processes, and commiserated about failures and frustrations. The Breakfast Roundtables on Saturday and Sunday morning gave you the opportunity to propose a topic that concerned you and the in-house world, then talk about it with other attendees in an informal setting. And Megan Lane Patrick’s Networking Workshop was definitely a success. People introduced themselves, their interests and their companies, and Megan showed you how to set personal goals for the Conference, find solutions, and create your own advisory network to follow up with now that you're back at the office. Everyone also got the chance to mingle and chat before dinner at the The Opening Happy Hour sponsored by The Creative Group. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on next year's Conference, and in the meantime, try using the forum to talk to friends you met this year! |
